Thank you to all of our old friends who've ordered Beef Shares and Sides in the past and welcome to all of you who've joined us this fall!. We've closed up the store, welcomed our newest grandchild, and are ready to start with the winter harvest of Cordray Farms Beef!
If you've sent in your reservation deposit for a Side or Share, we'll be calling most of you in the next several weeks. We've got beef dry aging in the cooler, so we're moving down our reservation list, slowly, but surely! If you've not sent your check in yet, you can send it in now and expect to hear from us in March with your completed Beef Share or Side.
As most of you know, our cattle are born and raised on our family farm. We only sell what we raise, so our supply is limited, but worth waiting for! We use the reservation list to help us have the cattle sold before we harvest. Not only does it help our cash flow, but it also helps us be more fair in serving our waiting customers. It's the Community part of Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)! We don't keep freezers full of beef here waiting for customers. We harvest based on what people order. Right now, we're filling orders for folks who reserved their Shares in the last 3 months of 2010. Thanks to all of you for being so patient! We should have cattle ready for harvest approximately monthly through the summer, so those of you joining now won't have to wait so long! To get your beef reserved, send $100 per Share or $200 per Side by check to the address below.
