Meet Real Free-Range Eggs

Interesting article on free range eggs! My chickens are beginning to cooperate, so I have just a few dozen eggs for sale! All my chickens are what I call EXTREME free range - so much so, be careful driving in. They've had the run of the place all summer and strut the driveway with not a care in the world. They don't have any commercial feed at all - just bugs and the ground corn they can scavenge from the horses, cows, and goats. Click on the article below from Mother Earth News to learn more about healthy eggs!

Cordray Farms Store opens at 8 am on August 15th!

Hello, Friends!
As deer season opens, we have the meatcase stocked with all natural, locally grown Cordray Farms steaks, burger, summer sausage, jerky, and snack sticks! We also have Cordray Brothers, mild, and bratwurst pork sausage for sale.  Come see us!
Sunday hours are a rarity! Usually, we are open 9 am to 10 pm Monday - Saturday. We open just on Sunday nights from 6 pm to 10 pm for deer check in. But tomorrow is an exception since it is the opening day of the 2010 deer season. Hope to see you tomorrow!

As we wait 2 more days...want to see what we did on our summer vacation?

Michael hates it when I call it that! Somehow being in the hayfield in the 100 degree heat doesn't feel like a vacation, but compared to being in the store 84 hours a week, 7 days a week, it is! So this will be recaps of Cordray Farms in the offseason!
We played in snow.

We played in mud.
We played with baby goats and...

frogs and...
always checked on cows by the light of the moon!
We worked some
and some more.
And best of all... the Lord blessed our son, Tristan, and his wife, Callie, with a new baby boy!

Alligators are coming.... Sept. 11th!

Opening Day: Sunday 9 am to 10 pm

Deer Season opens this year on Sunday. In the past, DNR has moved the opening to Saturday, but not this year.
So we will be open 9 am to 10 pm on August 15th. Then we'll go back to our usual Daylight Savings Time hours, Mon. - Sat. 9 am to 10 pm, Sundays open in the evening 6 pm to 10 pm.
When the time changes Nov. 7th, we'll close at 9 each night.
