OK, IT'S BACK ON! After several slower weeks, we got in 49 deer tonight!
We saw nice bucks and PLENTY of does. Folks are reporting bucks chasing does again. Maybe it's that postrut you hear about? I don't know but we were caught understaffed and scrambling to serve everyone tonight. Thanks so much for your patience! We're calling in reinforcements for the weekend!
Christmas hams are ready!! All the reserved hams are ready to go. We also made a few extra. Stop by and get one!
Jean is packaging up the ham halves today. We have both whole and half hams, all fully cooked and ready to eat! We'll be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Stop by Mondays - Saturdays 9 am to 9 pm. I'll post when we run out.

These folks are missing! They found us to drop off the deer, but now can't seem to get their GPS to find us again to pick up the processed order. Please help!
We can't sell you these orders, but you can call them if you know them and ask them what is going on? We've left dozens of messages with no luck! Maybe we don't have the right phone number? If they're in your phone, give them a buzz!

See the newspaper story of the deer on Folly Beach? Troy Nave brought that big 9 point buck in to Cordray's Taxidermy. Kenneth will be doing European mount for the Folly Beach Fire Station.
Troy is a fire fighter on Folly Beach. To read the story in the Post and Courier, click here. (No, we didn't process the meat.)

Cordray Farms Store will be open just 5 more weeks!
Hello, Friends!
I've had several questions from folks who've been stopping by for the dry aged steaks and Christmas applewood smoked hams.
1. When do you close for the season?
This year our store closing date will be Saturday Jan. 19th. We won't have regular operating hours again until Aug. 15, 2013. You'll need to talk to someone here before you ride out.
2. How can I get Cordray Farms beef after Jan. 19th?
We sell Cordray Farms Shares which are 1/8th of a cow. Send in your reservation check now for $100 and we'll be calling you in February.
Cordray Farms Beef Sides are 1/2 cow completely custom cut to your directions. Reservations for a Side are $200. Be sure to include your name and phone number on your reservation check so we can contact you to set up your appointment! Be sure to call before you come to pick up as you risk driving all the way out here and finding the store closed. For more information, go to Cordray Farms webpage.
2. Are you ever open in spring and summer?
Sometimes...
Get on the Cordray Farms email list and we will let you know if we have pickup Saturdays scheduled. About 3 to 4 times in the off-season (Jan. 21 to Aug. 14th) we are open on a Saturday morning 9 to 12 for people to pick up Sides and Shares. I'll post on the email list to let you know if we also have eggs, bacon, sausage or frozen beef available. Last year we did applewood smoked hams for Easter by appointment. Hopefully, we'll do that again!
And did I mention that you need to talk to someone before you come out? Every year we get home after a trip to visit the grandkids and we have this series of phone messages: 1. "Hello, I'm coming by to see if you have some of that good Cordray's applewood smoked bacon. I'll be by later today." 2. "Hello, I'm out front and the gate is shut. Does that mean you are closed? I've driven all the way from Beaufort and I didn't know you weren't going to be here." (Real messages are not sometimes so nice! :))
I really hate to disappoint our customers, but if you don't talk to a person who says, "I will be here at 10 am to meet you today" you may be taking a long wasted drive! The store phone is our house phone too so call us if we can help you - 843.766.7922. Otherwise just 40 more days, but who's counting?
Ready in the store now:
Applewood Smoked Hams, halves and wholes
T-bone, Ribeye, and Porterhouse dry aged steaks
Steak cut applewood smoked bacon
Summer sausage in all 3 flavors
Beef Jerky, two flavors
Red rind hooped cheese
Snack sticks in all 3 flavors
