Cordray Farms 2024 Beef Season stsrting up!

Hello, Friends! We're starting our planning for the 2024 Beef Season! As many of you know, we sell Beef Shares (1/8) and Sides (1/2) by reservation.For all the details, check out the attached sheet.  Today we'll begin taking reservations for Cordray Farms beef that will be ready beginning in late February. The sooner you get your deposit in, the sooner we'll be contacting you! I'll be opening this up to our 30,000 Facebook followers in the next few days but wanted to contact our loyal email list first. Call us at 843.766.7922 to give your card number to leave your deposit.

We're selling applewood smoked hams for Christmas in the store now along with frozen and smoked beef products.  Stop by and check out the store while we still have deer season hours - Open Monday - Saturday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.and Sunday evenings 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

So for the first time we're offering reduced prices on Cordray Farms packages. Beef Shares (1/8 of an animal) are 40 lbs. of cuts and 25 lbs. of burger at $8.55 lb. Grilling Boxes are 20 lbs. of steaks and 20 lbs. of burger at $10.35 lb. Burger Boxes are 30 lbs. of burger for $7.65 lb. Open Monday - Saturday 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday evenings 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Closed Labor Day except 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Dear Cordray Farms friends! We made Grilling Boxes! First time we've made them in years! 20 lbs. of grilling steaks and 20 lbs. of hamburger make a 40 lb. Grilling Box. $13.50 lb. These are available first come, first served.

Cordray Farms has Beef Shares NOW!

Hello, Friends!

I've promised many of you that I'd send out a notice if we had more Shares available this year. Here's your notice! The weather's been perfect for growing grass and thus cows so we've got some Beef Shares ready with no waiting list. 

Here's the information from our website for all the details.

Cordray Farms Beef Shares:  Our CSA plan provides for Beef Shares.  A Cordray Farms Beef Share is 1/8 of an animal.  A share contains standard cuts of steaks, roasts, stew beef, cube steaks, short ribs and hamburger.  A share is approximately 60-65 lbs.  When packaged and frozen, that's about 2 boxes ).  We've chosen this size because this much beef will fit easily in the top of most refrigerator freezers. You can have farm raised all natural beef without having to have a deep freezer!
What do you get in a Beef Share?
Imagine that you and 7 friends want to equally divide a steer. That way, each family gets cuts from all over the animal. Your Share will have some from the front quarter, like ribeye steaks and chuck roasts, and some from the hind quarter, like TBone steaks and rump roasts. Every share has about 25 lbs. of hamburger packaged in  1.3 lb. packs. We cut all the steaks about 1 inches thick and 2 to 3 lb. roasts. Each share is as close to the same as we can make it! 
Each share is about  60-65 lbs and consists of:
TBone/Porterhouse steaks - 4
Ribeye steaks - 3
Rump roast or sirloin tip roast - 1
Boneless stew - 1 pack about 1 lb.
Short ribs - 2 packs
Round Steak - 3 packs
Cube steak - 1 to 2 packs
Shoulder roast or chuck roasts - 2 or 1 of each
Flat Iron or Mock tender steak - 1
Sirloin steak - 1
Ground beef - 24 to 26 lbs. in 1 1/3 lb packs
Everything comes vacuum sealed and frozen. It will fill a medium size cooler.  Beef Shares are $9.50 per lb.

 We're open Monday - Thursday 9 to 5 and Friday 9 to 1. In addition to Shares we have Burger Boxes (30 lbs of burger at $8.50 lb.)

Can't use a whole Share? Right now we have a good supply of individual cuts in the meat case with plenty of bacon, sausage, and smoked items as well. Stop by soon and see us before deer season  empties our shelves!

Looking forward to Cordray Farms Beef Season

Hello Friends of Cordray Farms,

February is almost here so we're beginning to look toward Beef Season! We will be having 4 ways for you to enjoy Cordray Farms Beef.

In-store sales - Beginning mid-February our store will be well stocked with steaks, roasts and burger. Right now we have limited frozen cuts. We also have 3 flavors of jerky, summer sausage, and snack sticks. We make applewood smoked bacon and have hoop cheese, too.

Burger Boxes - Not ready yet but we'll have 30 lb. Burger boxes for $8.80 lb. ready soon.

Shares - You can call in your $100 deposit for Beef Shares now. This is 40 lbs. of roasts and cuts with 20 -25 lbs. of burger. Shares are 1/8th of an animal and are $8.80 lb. For details visit http://cordrays.com/cordray-farms-beef-shares.html.

Sides - For 1/2 cattle you'll need to leave a $200 deposit. Sides are priced at $5.90 lb. on the hanging weight of the animal and custom cut to your specifications. Total quantity is 300 to 375 lbs. of meat. Details on SIdes is http://cordrays.com/cordray-farms-beef-sides.html.

The good Lord decides when the sunshine and rain grow enough grass for our cattle to be ready for harvest. We'll be gathering the names and deposits for a while and then start down the lists in February. The last 2 years we've run out of beef before we finished the list and had to boot people to next year. So I'm sending out this reminder to get on the list soon!
